The Daydreamer Challenge, Day 5: Goals for Goals and More Goals

Two posts in one day? Eh, I’m on a roll! (do not make bread joke, do not make bread joke…)

So, it’s Day 5 of the Daydreamer Challenge, and my first task? To write about goals for this blog. Oh lord…

My goal is to not have goals. My goal is to not put pressure on myself by making myself write about a specific subject. My goal is to never feel like I’m obligated to show people in real life this blog, but my goal is to also not bar myself from shutting them out. My goal is to make as many friends as possible on here, and my goal is to help as many people as I can, give advice to as many people as I can, and learn as much as I can.

My second task? List my favourite posts – aha! I’m SOOO ARROGANT…

My first ever post will always be close to my heart, as well as the post where I list all the names I go by. There’s another one, which can’t be classified as a favourite, but I think people who come to my blog should read it to get an idea of what I’m like when I’m upset.

Task number 3: a question for a blogger…

If you had the chance to meet one of your best internet friends/favourite blogger, would you be nervous before meeting them?

Thanks for kneading – READING! What is with me and the bread jokes today?!

  1. […] Just Call Me Elm Or Something – If you had the chance to meet one of your best internet friends/favourite blogger, would you be nervous before meeting them? I think it is always meeting someone new for the first time even if you had built up a great rapport online. I would worry that we would not get on or something in reality which would spoil a great online friendship. On the other hand, it was be fantastic to be able to meet up with some of the lovely bloggers that I have a real connection with. […]

  2. Great question! This actually happened to me. I got to be ‘virtual friends’ with the GypsyNesters, who write great stuff about how, when their kids left the nest, they sold their house and started traveling around the States in an RV. It’ssuch great stuff that it became a book (called ‘Going Gypsy’) I was invited to the book launch party in New York (where I live). Anyway. I met them, and it was terrific. Though it did feel a little odd!

  3. […] Just Call Me Elm Or Something – If you had the chance to meet one of your best internet friends/favourite blogger, would you be nervous before meeting them? That may depend on whether it was a best internet friend, or a favorite blogger who was very famous. While I realize famous people still put their pants on one leg at a time, there are some people who are wonderfully creative, and whom I admire to the point of feeling slightly intimidated. […]
