The Social Media Blog Tag!

Every so often, a tag comes along which I absolutely love with all my stone cold, unfeeling heart. The Social Media Blog Tag is one of them. Created by Chloe last year, she brought it back this year and I couldn’t be happier. For some odd reason, I was tagged – than’ you so so much by the way – and I immediately knew I had to do this one again. Um well, it’s being posted two days after it was supposed to but I’m SORRY I NEED to GET MY SHIT TOGETHER!

I did this tag last year when I was actually funny – HAHA remember that? Excuse all of the screaming ramblings that are going to follow. I miss my “old style” of posting, where I felt more relaxed. So, screw the correct grammar and more formal style of posting: I’m going to rave about people, write in ALL CAPITALS sometimes and bloody well enjoy myself whilst doing it.

Right. I refuse to get stressed about doing which award but it was created to spread love; it’s based on different types of social media and bloggers who would fit that.

The Rules

  1. Thank the person who tagged you. (Merci, Chloe; you’re brilliant)
  2. Choose a Blog or Blogger per category and explain why you chose them.
  3. Tag others to do this (up to you how many)

Annoyingly, I can’t actually do this one properly because I’m almost completely blind. However, from what I’ve heard, Reine has a wonderfully designed blog. She recently went self-hosted and I know that she’s put a lot of effort into what she does; compared to her, I’m pretty much an uninformed, technologically-repellent cavewoman. I’ve also known Reine for what feels like forever; she’s a huge blog inspiration for me and has helped me out so much! (Trust me, I need all the help I can get.)

I didn’t even have to think about this one: GirlMasked is one of the nicest people I know. She’s always there to support people – on her posts and on Twitter. Not only does she write relatable content (her posts on mental health calm me down so much) but she always reaches out to people either when they’re having a bad day or when something amazing happens. I never feel afraid to talk to her and she’s someone in the community who you can always rely on to have the best chats with, about anything! Seriously, you’re wonderful; don’t stop writing!

AHH definitely Lu, who’s actually one of my close friends. Her writing style MAKES MY LIFE COMPLETE and her rambles and rants on books are my favourite thing. She’s mastered the art of being able to summarise her thoughts well (I’m sobbing here because I love it SO MUCH and am so jealous). I love how everything she says is either amazing, hilarious or IS IN ALL CAPS because that’s the best writing style of ever.

OKAY this is easy – Diversion3000 is the funniest blogger ever. Her posts actually have made me cry with laughter on a number of occasions – from fashion reviews to fantastic lists to musings on life, whenever I read her posts I have a smile on her face. Not only that but she’s friendly as hell and when you talk to her, the bubbly and awesome personality shown in her posts is just as present. Ever since her blog started, she’s been someone I go to when I need a cheer-up and I admire her so much for that!!!

Without a doubt, I have to choose L for this one. Both his blog and Twitter are some of my favourite things to read: he’s funny and whenever he posts or tweets about his life, he does it so casually – as if he’s speaking to his readers like they’re his friends. Recently, he’s got a Guide Dog and those updates have got to be the ones I love to read the most because he’s so incredibly happy. I honestly get emotional when I think about it – is that weird?

Jasmine has always been someone who manages to balance loads of different themes on her blog. I’m always in awe of her; she’s got to be one of my favourite bloggers and blogging inspirations. She posts life updates, thoughtful posts, about her dairy-free lifestyle and also blogging tips. I’m not sure how she does it because I find it really difficult to keep my content interesting so that you don’t fall asleep while reading it. However, you will never get bored when reading her blog because she’s one of the most inspiration people I know, simply because her blog covers so many different things and never, ever lacks in quality with any of them. Ahh, I adore her blog more than anything.

Someone who I’ve known for ages, Misstery Blog writes such beautiful poetry on her blog that it makes me feels all the feels possible. Her thoughts on life, particularly teenagers, inspire me to want to speak up and not stay silent about issues in society. She’s such a wonderful writer – people like her let me fall in love with poems and stories even more than I already am. If you haven’t seen her blog before, go and give her a follow – she deserves every single view she gets!

My Nominations

Like Chloe, I’m nominating everyone I mentioned here as well as anyone else who wants to do it! If you’ve been nominated already, don’t worry about it. Also, regardless of whether you’ve been nominated or not, you’re fantastic bloggers and people.

I also nominate:

I really hope you enjoy doing this! I certainly loved it – thanks, Chloe, for creating it again! You’re awesome.

The Liebster Award Number… 4?

If I had to pick a favourite award, I think this one would be one of them. Why, you might ask, when there are so many out there? Well, this award is simple (I won’t start calling it cute, don’t worry). It was the first award that I ever did which got me connected to bloggers, back in the day where I had literally no idea how to blog or what a blog even was.

I was nominated to do this fabulous award by my amazing friend Lu from Lu Reads, who’s posting style is just brilliant. Thanks so much for nominating me! If you don’t know who she is, go and check her blog out, especially if you adore books as much as I do.

The Rules

  1. Thank the blogger who has nominated y
  2. Answer 11 questions from the blogger who has nominated you
  3. Nominate 11 blogs
  4. Ask them 11 questions

Lu’s Questions

1. Favourite drink?
Erm… Probably tea. I love tea. So much. Do I care it’s not healthy to have lots of it. Well, yeah…

2. Favourite cake?
Cheesecake or a really rich chocolate cake. I adore chocolate; for some reason I don’t like other cakes as much… I haven’t had it in such a long time though.

3. What’s the reason you started blogging?
I really needed an outlet for my emotions; I didn’t know what I was feeling at the time of starting and I knew that to have somewhere to write them down would let me process them a bit more. As well as that, I wanted – and still want – to help people by showing them that they’re not alone in what they go through. The reasons I started blogging are still the reasons I continue, along with the encouragement from all my online and real life friends.

4. What are you reading?
Well, nothing at the moment. I’m just about to start reading either Moll Flanders or Lady Chatterley’s Lover for my English work but I also want to read some contemporary or Sci-Fi novels… Basically anything. I’m a huge bookworm!

5. What was the last film you watched?
A really shit one called Silent Hill (it’s based off a game). As you can tell, I disliked it; I watched it with two of my best friends and my sister. Part of my reason for disliking it was because I had no idea what was happening. In addition to that, it was a “horror” film. What can I say – I’m easily scared.

6. What’s your favourite album at the moment?
Ahh, I’d say Ed Sheeran’s latest album. It’s utter gold; his voice is heavenly; I love it so much. From that, my favourite song has to be Perfect. However, I’m not really an “album” person.

7. What’s the craziest dream you’ve had?
There was this one where bloggers turned up at my house… That was odd. Another was where I was at Glastonbury
Festival but for some reason the stage was in a classroom? I don’t understand my dreams. A performance was happening but instead of singing, the person was telling us about their life and experiences. That one was relatively recently, though I can’t remember what exactly happened.

8. How long have you been blogging?
2 years and 4 months exactly! I’ve only just realised it’s my mini-blogiversary!

9. Do you speak any different languages?
Ever since I quit French AS-Level, I don’t. I’ll probably pick French up after I finish University (I’ll have to get through A-Levels first). I really did like the language.

10. What are you planning to do this summer?
I’m having a friend over next week, another friend over the following week and I’m going on holiday after Results Day followed by a concert with another friend… I never thought I’d be so busy. Along with that, I’ll be doing some work at some point… I hope.

11. What is your favourite season?
Autumn, simply for the feel of the leaves. There’s a perfect balance between warm summers and freezing winters; even the air feels right.

My Nominations

  1. Bitz
  2. The Girl with Ironwings
  3. Teen Girl Life
  4. SparkleFox
  5. Smiling Dreamer
  6. Very Punny
  7. Ash
  8. Holly
  9. Ana
  10. Tash
  11. Gracie

My Questions to You

  1. What’s a song that you feel summarises your thoughts right now?
  2. When was the last time you felt happy and why?
  3. Do you like books? (IF NOT WHY? *screams hysterically*)
  4. Do you often find yourself thinking about the past, present or future?
  5. If you’ve made a difficult decision recently, what have you learned from it?
  6. If you had to choose between always travelling abroad but never being able to travel in your own country or always travelling in your country but never being able to go abroad, which would you choose?
  7. What’s your least favourite instrument?
  8. Can you cook/bake? (I only ask because I can’t)
  9. Do you get emotional easily?
  10. What kinds of posts do you most like writing?
  11. How do you resist negative pressure to do something from others?

There you have it! I really hope you enjoyed my answers and the questions I set you!

If you haven’t been nominated for this, feel free to do it anyway – in fact, that would be wonderful! Whether you’re nominated or not, it doesn’t decrease your worth as a person.

The Mystery Blogger Award!

It’s been so long since I’ve done an award and I’m sat here mildly disgusted at myself for being so bad at this!

I was nominated by the lovely pair at Findthebeautyy to do this! I found their blog recently and think they’re fantastic; check them out if you want a wonderful variety of posts! Thanks for nominating me; it means a lot.

Although I’ve done this award once before, I thought I’d revisit it because I remember loving it so much. Created by OkotoEnigma, it’s described by her as “An award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.” I think that this perfectly captures the essence of blogging!

The Rules

1. Put the award image or logo on your blog.
2. Thank the person that nominated you and link their blog in your post.
3. Name the creator of this award and link their blog in your post.
4. List the rules.
5. Answer your nominator’s questions.
6. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
7. Nominate 10-20 people.
8. Ask your nominees 5 original questions of your choice.
9. Share links to your best blog posts.
10. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blogs.
There’s so much variety in this and it makes me happy! Right, here we go.

Findthebeautyy’s Questions

1. What is your reason for starting your blog?
I needed a place to vent my feelings out – an outlet – and I wanted to help people with their feelings too because everyone deserves to be heard. After the end of my last blog, I wanted to start again and I thought Elm was the perfect name and way with which to do it. Turns out I was right and if I can help at least one person through this, I’ll be happy.

2. What motivates you?
Motivation has always been a struggle but the main thing is when I know it’ll help me or someone else. Also, my life experiences give me motivation to either do something or not do something: when doing work, my main motivation is that I know that in the long run, it’ll have a positive outcome. Then again, I do have short bursts of that motivation; I need to work on it.

3. What is the most important thing to you?
This is so painfully clichΓ© but it’s making people happy and helping them. I thrive most when helping others rather than myself and I think it’s so important to make other people smile. Of course I’ll look after myself but for me, I’m happy when others are too. Luckily, it’s a principle that has remained constant for me.

4. Who’s the most important person in your life?
Ahhh I’m not sure; I can’t name one specific person. My dad is very important to me as well as my friends and someone I was previously in a relationship with as all of them shape me as a person. It’s so difficult to choose – nope, I can’t do it. I’m so indecisive!

5. What makes you happiest on a bad day?
Having fun with friends which lets me remove the sadness. I really like positive atmospheres and so when I’m laughing, I’m the most happy even when I’m miserable. Smiling makes everything better, I think.

3 Things about Myself

1. I hate the feeling of sand on any part of my body apart from my hands.
2. I hardly ever watched TV when I was younger; I just listened to audiobooks and played outside.
3. When I laugh too hard I cry and then people often ask me what’s wrong; also my laugh is one of the most obnoxious things you could ever hear.

My Nominations

1. Sunset
2. The Anonymous Girl Writes
3. Formerly Myself
4. Maitreyee
5. Astrid
6. Smiling Dreamer
7. Indiesonglyrics
8. The Small Quiet One
9. Just A Blank Space
10. Rainbow Girl
11. Elsie LMC

Whether I’ve found these blogs yesterday or two years ago, all of them have beautiful writing styles and are unique in how they express themselves.

My Questions for You

1. Have you ever been in love?
2. What’s your favourite instrument and why?
3. What do you admire about yourself?
4. If you could take one lesson you’ve learned from blogging away with you, what would that be?
5. At the moment, what’s the thing you most want to do?

My Best Blog Posts

I critique myself a lot so this will be really difficult.
My Blog in the Real World
I’m Not Scared to Say What my Fears Are
Why I Write How I Do

I hope you enjoy answering those questions and if you don’t know any of the bloggers I’ve listed in my nominations, check them out! You won’t regret it.

The 2016 Blogger Awards – Update!

With two weeks to go until the results are announced for the 2016 Blogger Awards – which I’m hosting, I’ve finally caught up with all the nominations. It took me forever, but now I’ve noted down almost all of the people that are nominated so far.

There’s an emphasis on so far, because there are still two weeks left in which to nominate people. The posts and comments I’ve already seen are truly lovely; I’ve never been so cheered up because of the love and positivity that’s been shared. Reading what you have to say about each other has put a smile on my face; through this, I’ve got to know so many new blogs and that’s one of the reasons I’m so pleased to be hosting this.

To find out what these awards are about if you don’t know already, and to check out the rules, you can read this post. If you already know, then here’s a little reminder (because I know I’d forget if I wasn’t thinking about it)

β€’ The deadline (that’s a slightly scary word but don’t let that put you off) for submitting nominations is on the 30th of December
β€’ Results will be posted on the 31st (my birthday coincidentally)
β€’ You have to either link your post back to my post when nominating, or tag it with the tag 2016bloggerawards
β€’ Every blog is worth an award, not just the ones that are nominated or that win

So, get nominating! You don’t have to nominate people for every single category; just do your best and remember to have fun with it! It’s not a competition; it’s just a way to give more positivity to you and the world.

Spread the word if you like, and I hope you have an amazing holiday whether you celebrate Christmas, something else or nothing at all.

The 2016 Blogger Awards – My Nominations!

After endless hours of procrastination (I had schoolwork shhh!) and a lot of attempted thinking, I’m here to present my nominations for the 2016 blogger awards! You can find the rules and explanations here – don’t forget to check them out!

If I don’t nominate you, it’s not because I dislike you as a person, or your blog. I think that you’re all wonderful people, and you’ve made the last year and a half so special for me. Nominating people was VERY tough, because there are so many blogs which I love.

Blogger of the Year: Em from Adventures of a Lost Teen

Throughout the year, Em has been someone who I’ve admired. She’s incredibly connected in the blogging community, both on her actual blog and on Twitter, and the way she interacts with people is astounding. Always with a kind word to say, she’ll reach out to you. Her Finding Your Feet project was inspirational to me and many others, which makes me think that she deserves this award.

Blog of the Year: Emily from Emily Clare Beauty

The main thing that stounds out to me with Emily’s blog is the amount of effort she puts into it. Her main focus is beauty, and through it, she has made me a lot more confident in my appearance through her posts. Her blog caters to everyone, whether they be experienced at makeup or not, and this flexibility has caused her to be able to expand her blog into what it is today. Her design, coupled with the way she writes posts, makwhs her blog one which I c’thelp but wish I had.

Kindest Blogger: Flawed Silence

With every comment she leaves on anyone’s posts – mine or otherwise – she is always so incredibly lovely. Whenever I’m an emotional wreck, she always helps me to feel like I’m worth something, by saying something that makes me happy. Her blog pretty much exudes kindness, and whenever I look at it I’m reminded of her amazing personality. She goes out of her way to be nice to everyone, which I respect above all else, and she’s become a great friend to me recently.

Most Approachable: Ella from Teenella

Right from the start, I’ve never felt nervous of talking to this girl. She makes a point to TELL you that you can always talk to her, and her honesty in both her posts, on her Twitter and in her personality makes it so that I’ve always viewed her as someone who I can go to if I need to. She’s had her blog for a while, but that doesn’t detract from how approachable she is – in fact, it adds to it, because the dedication she’s shown to her blog and to her readers makes it easy to talk to her.

Best New Blogger: Leo from Hades Vibes

I absolutely adore Leo, and have done ever since they started their blog. Though they don’t follow as many people BECAUSE they’re new, the people that they do follow they’ve reached out to. They have an awesome writing style which makes it feel like they’re speaking to you, they’re relatable, and their music taste will always be a thousand times better than mine. When it comes to blogging, they’ve taken it in their stride and they smashed their way into the blogging world – something I never achieved when I started. Proud of ya!

Most Positive Blogger: Aspen from A.K.A the Author

Aspen is always someone who I’ve thought of as being incredibly positive. Through everything in her life, no matter how big or small, she’s kepther head up and encouraged others to do the same, even when she might want to do the opposite. It’s one thing to remain positive within yourself and yet another to make others feel happy and inspired through your words, and this is what Aspen does; I’ve known her for over a year now and always, when we’ve spoken about our lives, she doesn’t let things get her down for long and can make you laugh and smile, when before you wanted to sob in a corner.

Most Helpful Blogger: Sav from The Savage Savannah

You don’t get many people who will give you their brutally honest advice, say the things that you NEED to hear and tell you when you need to do something, but Sav’s one of them. He is always, always there for you when you need someone to cry at, or to explain your problems to – he never makes me feel stupid for talking to him. As well as that, he gives the best advice and thinks about others, and no matter what issue you have, he’ll do his very best to help you out. That’s one of the defining things that makes up Sav: he’ll help you with pretty much anything.

Best Looking Blog: I’m going to have to skip out on this one, for obvious reasons (I’m blind in case you didn’t know). If you have any suggestions for great looking blogs, then leave a comment with them in!

Most Relatable Blog: The Punk Butterfly

Abi understands pretty much everything I go through, and when I read her posts, I can see why. Whatever she publishes – a life update, creative writing, even an award – I find myself muttering “Yep, SAME, me!” all the time. It’s so nice to know tin my situations, I’m not alone, and that I can relate to someone living thousands of miles away from me. She has a lot of the same thought processes as me, and that is so comforting.

Most Creative Blogger: Anthony from A Very Awkward Blog

Not only has Anthony been an amazing friend to me, but he’s also one of the most creative people I know. It was actually quite hard to choose the person for this category because there are so many talented writers and challenge creators in the blogosphere, but Blogwarts eventually won out as being the most original thing I’ve ever seen in the blogging world. I’ve only been here a grand total of two years collectively, but in that time, I haven’t seen something as brilliant and unique as that: it’s a type of Bloggers’ House Cup, in which you’re set challenges to complete and where you work as a team. Unfortunately I’ve had to resign from it because of my bad mental health at the moment, but I still adore it and think that Anthony is a genius.

Funniest Blogger: L from Consider Yourself Warned

I’ve never met anyone who’s able to make me cry with laughter quite like L can. I’m not even talking about our conversations outside of blogging: I distinctly remember a time where I couldn’t speak for about 2 minutes because of something he wrote in one of his posts. The humour he puts into his blog seems effortless, and he has a special “brand” of funny that no one else has. Look at his Twitter, and you’ll see what I mean; he is hilarious.

The Wildcard: BP from I Like Banoffee Pie for being a loyal friend
BP – or as I refer to her, Z – has been around for approximately forever. She was there when I started my first blog, and she was there when it ended – through it all, she’s been a blogging !piration to me. Even when she left, and came back, she’s still remained a friend. I can safely say that if it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have had the courage to talk to a lot of people when I started Elm; because we’ve known each other for so long, we know both our writing styles and how they’ve changed, and I’m glad there’s someone who knows my blogging identity so completely.

There you have it! I hope you liked these nominations, and if you don’t recognise any of the blogs them have a look at them, as they are all amazing!

You have just under two months to submit your nominations, so there’s no rush. Don’t feel pressured to do this; it’s just a way to connect people together, and to hopefully make you smile.

The Respect Award!

Hey guys!

You can now faint in shock, because I’m actually DOING an award. What is this?!!! I must have been taken over by some alien.

I am so so happy, because Aditi and Azura both nominated me for the Respect Award, which made me grin insanely. Like you have no idea! THANK YOU!!!

There are just two rules to this award:
1. Paste the award picture in your post.
2. Answer the questions.

If you’re Elm, you’ll only abide by one because I’m SO bad with technology that I don’t even know HOW to paste that picture into my post, because I can’t FIND the picture (yay for phones being great).

The Questions:

What is respect and what does it mean to you?
Respect is when you think a person is fantastic, when every action they do inspires you, makes you feel like you’re worth something. It’s when they can argue with you, but you still admire them, because their arguments are sound and so valid that it knocks you down with the genius of it. It’s when no matter if you hate them, you will still always have a deep-rooted feeling of almost awe for them. It means being kind to them, having kindness returned, and always realising that even if you don’t agree with them, they won’t shoot you down for it. You’ll still be a friend, or an acquaintance. It’s a quiet feeling, solid and only changing with the most violent shift of personality, because you understand them and hold a ton of admiration for them. Respect is earned, not EXPECTED; if somebody is not kind and generous to you, how can they expect that FULLY in return?

Who do you respect the most?
Ooh, this is a tricky one. I’d say my father, because he always has listened to my opinions. He brought me up when it came to politics, and morals, and even when he and I are having an argument, he still makes me look at things from every angle, rather than just one. He’s the type of person who would NEVER expect me to respect him, because he knows that he’d need to earn it through being kind to people, which he is and that makes me respect him even more. Luckily, he isn’t the type of parent who would impose authority on me “BECAUSE I SAY SO!” which is so so great.

Which bloggers have earned your respect?
Too many to count. Honestly I love all you guys because you make me so happy and are always here to help, no matter what. But specific ones, who I’ll use as my nominees, are:

L. This goes without saying, but I have so much respect for this guy. He makes me laugh, is SO fabulous and can write thoughtful, and then hilarious posts. He’s always kind, and here for you whenever you need him, and he’s also organising a project that brings loads of people together and links it to blogging which is my favourite thing. He’s a part of the blogging community, and always comments the sweetest things. You are trΓ©s fantastique!

The Savage One AKA The Lonely Lion. This guy’s posts, and his attitude, just makes you respect him. You know he’d always listen to the other side of an argument, and I may not have known him long, but I think he’s fantastic and one of my favourite bloggers. His posts are thoughtful and it makes me smile, because he manages to write down my thoughts on certain topics, because he shares them.

Selfie is someone I’ve always respected. Back in November, she contacted me for the first time to ask if I was okay, and that simple gesture nearly made me cry because it was just so KIND. Ever since then, she’s been such a good friend – funny, thoughtful and she understands me on a level that’s scary. I can always come to her if I feel terrible and THAT’s why I respect her so much.

Luna has been right there from the start. First of all, through her posts, I got the image of a kind and caring person, who was alternately funny and then hit you in the face with her real posts so that you’d stand up and listen. Over the last year, the comments she’s left on my posts have been some of the most beautiful, and most supportive, I’ve ever read. She says she’s bad at advice, but to me, she couldn’t be a better friend.

Crystal is someone who I found relatively recently, and I am SO glad I did. She makes me laugh and writes the best posts and comments, and even though she hasn’t known me that long, she STILL is here for me which is so great. As with so many other bloggers, she has such a kind heart and is never afraid to just message me whenever and have a conversation.

You are all so wonderful, and I don’t know what I’d do without this blog as I ALWAYS say. I’ve missed doing awards like this, because it’s fun and makes me think. Hopefully, it’ll make you guys happy too.

From now on, I’m going to start doing awards. A LOT. If anyone nominates me for anything, please do let me know – by leaving a comment on one of my posts or pages, or by making a pingback to one of my posts. I really want to get back into the swing of things (WOAH I’ve become motivated!)

Have a brilliant day, you fabulous souls πŸ˜€

The Little Engine Tag

RIGHT, this tag is really overdue and I feel horribly guilty for not doing it sooner!

This is a brilliant tag, made by the one and only The Little Engine That Couldn’t who’s post can be found above.

The Rules:
1. Each answer you give to a question has to be more than two sentences long. Or at the very least, you have to make those two sentences meaningful.

2. There will be two bonus questions at the end, that the blogger gets to change to whatever they want to ask when they nominate someone else. The first six questions, however, are set in stone.

3. At the end you must nominate three to five other bloggers. Okay, so you don’t have to, but that would be nice if you could. (I want my blog name to spread on for all of eternity.)

4. You know how sometimes in quiet classrooms, they’ll be that one guy clicking his pen fifty times a second, and it’s annoying as hell to everyone else? Yeah, don’t be that guy. This doesn’t apply to this tag so much, but more to life in general.

YES okay this is cool ahh

The Questions:

1. What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?
I DAMN well hate when people overuse ellipses. One is just fine – you know, you say, “I’m not feeling too good…” But if you do it on every single SENTENCE, I don’t know WHY but it just annoys me. I’M SORRY!

2. What is your favourite song at the moment?
There’s this song called I Found by Amber Run, and I absolutely love it. I found it by accident as well – all of the other songs on the suggested list on youtube that that song was on I didn’t especially like, but this one? I ADORE it, because of the harmonies, piano, lyrics and everything. Ahhh I could listen to it all day. I know it sounds quite miserable, but it’s so beautiful.

3. Who is your favourite blogger?
NO don’t make me pick. I LITERALLY can’t – but all of the bloggers I’ll nominate are my favourites. That’s the worst answer to a question I’ve ever written, in my life. ARGH!

4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve seen someone do recently?
I haven’t really been paying attention, but I think it would have to be when this girl went home a few days ago – not sure why but it was pretty serious – and people were so worried about her. It made me feel like our form was really caring, despite the people in it who scare me a little. But still, they just came together and asked if she was okay. Luckily, she was back at school today.

5. What’s something you regret doing?
I honestly don’t have regrets, as weird as that sounds, because I think that you learn from everything you do. However, I DO regret being so… Oblivious, when I was younger, and even two years ago. I look back on some of the things I did, and how I acted, and I feel so ashamed and irritated with myself because I was so incredibly immature. I really had no idea what kinds of things I was capable of, which is a shame really. Oh well.

6. If you could take only three items with you to a desert island, what would they be, and why?
Oh MAN, this one’s difficult. I’d probably take an instruction book on how to survive because I’m cool like that, and it’d be useful. But seriously, I’d take a sleeping bag so I wouldn’t have to sleep on just the ground, and also… A torch, not that it’d be much use. Didn’t think THAT one through… How WOULD a blind kid such as moi survive on a desert island anyway?

The bonus questions (which you can change in your own post)
7. What’s your least favourite animal, and why don’t you especially like it?
I’d say it’d have to be wasps – I KNOW they’re insects! Just go with it (WOW I’m such a shit question-answerer). It’s mainly because they scare me so much, they buzz, and also they sting MULTIPLE times. I got stung by one on a roller coaster when I was ten, so THAT was fun.

8. What’s one of your happiest memories, which you remember when things aren’t so good?
Probably when I met Rapunzel (my girlfriend, though she wasn’t at the time) for the first time. We hugged for so long, and we were shaking insanely. I’ll remember that one for a LONG time because I’ve NEVER felt so happy that something had gone right, because I didn’t think I would get to meet her and it was just so surreal.

AAAND I nominate:

The Anonymous Blogger Award!

YAAAAHHHHHH! (Sorry, I’m just excited).

I got nominated for this one by Anonymousblog101 and Anonymous Adolescent and I LOVE IT, because it’s celebrating the Anons in the Blogosphere. And as you know, I’m anonymous, though I’m HORRIFIC at staying that way. Thank you to you both for nominating me – you’re amazing!

The Rules:
1. Answer all the questions
2. Nominate 5 other anonymous bloggers
3. Mention the person who nominated you in your post.
4. Tell them you nominated them.

The Questions:

Why did you become anonymous?
I needed a place to get my thoughts out, about whatever I wanted. When I started the blog, I felt crappy, and it was – and still IS – a way to express myself. I think if I weren’t anonymous, I wouldn’t have made so many internet friends, because there’d just be this pressure to please people reading in real life: I needed to have a place where I could be myself, totally.

Who are your top three anonymous bloggers?
1. Selfie
2. Luna
3. L
And basically everyone else, because you’re all absolutely fantastic. I’m serious – you make my day.

If you could show your identity, would you?
No, I don’t think so. I like having a space where I can’t be judged by appearance, or my name, or anything like that. And anyway – this IS my identity, in a way.

Have you ever thought about revealing who you are?
At the beginning, yes, I won’t lie. When I started revealing things about my personal life is when I absolutely refused to think about revealing my real name, or face. It does mean I can’t share my youtube things with you, but that’s a not very big price to pay.

Has anyone asked (your readers) who you are?
Never, and I’m honestly not surprised. I have so much respect for you all; I think the community as a whole is really accepting and just lovely. I don’t think anyone would straight out ask me to tell them my real name.

AND I nominate:
Em Somerset

Anyone else who wants to do it, feel free! Also, the blogs who I nominated are lovely people and you should go and check them out πŸ˜›

Thanks for yesterday, by the way. I don’t understand how you’re such great people.

2015 Blogger Awards: Casually Crying Here

Yeah, so I cried earlier out of happiness because of the blog awards winners announcement, which can be found here.

I just…. I DON’T… FOUR AWARDS?! Guys, I can’t BELIEVE this.

Me. Winning AWARDS. FOUR. Blogger of the year – WHY?! I’M JUST ME! I thought I might win one but FOUR?!

I don’t even know how to function any more. I never thought this would happen to me – that after 9 months, I would have found so many amazing friends, and that I would have been able to talk freely, without judgement, to people that I trust. You are all amazing. I’m speechless, I just don’t know WHAT possessed you guys to nominate me. Seriously.,I’m in shock.

But anyway, enough of the “OMG I LIKE WON AWARDZ” crap. I need to thank somebody.

I’ve already sent off emails to everyone else that won – if I didn’t, I’ll say it here. You are all amazing and EVERY SINGLE one of you means something to me. Whether you made me laugh, think, or want to give you a huge hug, you’ve all impacted my life. You deserve the awards you got, and quite frankly, all the ones you DIDN’T get, too. I love you so much. I’ll write a bit about each one, just a bit, and you can find the link in Ambie’s (is it with a y or ie? post.

Caitlin: You’re an inspiration to me. Always have been, always will be. The moment you started, I was just in awe of your posts, and you’ve always brought the blogging community together.

Anthony: SERIOUSLY, you are the best thing ever. You make me laugh and feel so happy, and you’re just such a wonderful person. Keep smiling and being amazing and just generally saying hilarious AND thought-provoking things.

Dziey: I am in awe of you, simple as. You exploded onto the blogging world with a bang, getting right into the middle of the community, and THAT is something you should be proud of. Seriously, I flailed around for about 3 or 4 months before I managed to be vaguely okay at blogging. You’re going to go far, I know it, and I will hopefully be around to see it and cheer you on as much as possible. You bloody well deserve it.

Alex: I swear, every time you make a new post, I smile. Whenever I get an email from you, I ALWAYS look forward to what you say. You just make me happy, simple as, and it’s amazing that we’ve got so much in common. I’ve only known you for a short time, but I think you are wonderful.

Keira: Seriously, you’re amazing. You give the best advice, and are just always there for me whenever I need it, ready to put that smile back on my face. I’ve not known you long, but that doesn’t matter; you’ve managed to brighten up my life by just being you.

Em: Oh, what can I say? I’ve said it all before, in the email, but I would never have had got through this year if it weren’t for you. You lift my spirits, make me smile and you’re always here to remind me I’m not alone. It means so much to me. Always keep being you, because you are like no one else I’ve ever known.

The person I want to thank the most is The Ambivert, or Ambie, and I’ve got something to say to you.

There are some people that just bring the blogging world together, or just this side of the blogosphere, and you’re one of them. From this little award, you’ve made people feel so happy, and put smiles on their faces that have lasted for days. You’ve been optimistic, fantastic, and you know what? YOU deserve blogger of the year, I’m telling you now. YOU’RE the one that brought us together in the last days of 2015, and that counts for so much. Thank you, you amazing girl.

No matter if you got nominated or not, if you won or not, you’re ALL wonderful. Even if 2015 went badly for you, look forward with a smile. We all deserve an award, and we’ve all already got it. You’re amazing.

No, I didn’t set this up because I’m in no way that creative.

My awesome blogger friend – The Ambivert – has set up possibly the greatest thing in blogging history (even though someone else did it before right?) – whatever, she is DOING the best thing in blogging history – the Blogger Awards.

To find out what that is, and HOW you can nominate people, look at her post and give her a cheeky follow whilst you’re at it, because she’s amazing.

I have SO many bloggers I want to nominate for this, though I’m struggling over blogger of the year award. OH WELL!

ARGHH this is such a great idea; I’m really looking forward to this.

Here’s to hoping this will be huge, and three cheers to The Ambivert for making it happen.
