Bloggers Support Bloggers Challenge!

As soon as I saw this tag, I shrieked in pure delight because it’s exactly the reason I love blogging so much. It’s a way to spread love and positivity as well as including other bloggers. Bethany nominated me for this and wrote some truly lovely words about me and other bloggers; you should go and check her post out! Anyhow, on with the tag!

The Rules

  • Thank the person who tagged you and be sure to link their blogsite!
  • Add the official photo to your post.
  • List at least five bloggers you like. It can be bloggers you’ve known for a long time but, be sure to add a couple newbies in there too! This is all about spreading love and encouragement so don’t be afraid to step outside your friend group, please!
  • In five sentences or above, give a short description about why you love that blogger.
  • Tag at least 3 other bloggers to do this challenge down below.
  • Put #bloggerssupportbloggers in the Tags section so whenever a blogger is looking for new blogs to read, it will be easier to find!

Apparently, I’m a rebel in all forms so I’m not going to write about 5 bloggers. I’m going to write about 7 because it’s 1) one of my best friend’s second favourite number, 2) just a good number and 3) I’m indecisive.

Lu from Lu Reads

I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS CHILD. From her screaming over books to her posts on representation in YA, her blog content is so varied and inclusive. She’s become such a good friend to me as well; reading her blog always puts a smile on my face because seeing her rave about her favourite books – like Autoboyography (or yell about her least favourite) gives me books to add to my ever-growing TBR pile or books to avoid/run away from screaming. I also love how she’s so involved in the community – her Twitter gives me such joy I CANNOT EXPRESS IT. I genuinely feel like I can’t do the description of how much I adore her writing style justice so I’m going to leave you with wordless crying and a plea that you just READ. IT. NOW.

Kel from Consider Yourself Warned

If you’ve been living under a rock (or haven’t seen our interactions on Twitter), Kel and I have known each other for about 8 years and he’s one of my closest friends. His blog is hilarious; I read his posts and have been known to honestly cry whilst laughing. ALSO I CAN HEAR THE WORDS IN HIS VOICE AND AAAA! Not only does he make beautiful posts like this but his introspective posts are also amazing – take a look at this one too. He’s also nearly at 1000 followers and I’m so proud of him for all he’s achieved with his blog; the transformation I’ve seen in him over the last few years is wonderful to see.

Holly from May Contain Spoilers

I found holly really recently from our common ground of shouting over A-Levels. You’d be so surprised at the bond that can be forged over mutual sobbing. She’s thinking of doing the same course as me and even in a short time, we’ve got on so well. On checking out her blog, I was immediately struck by how friendly she sounds. It feels like she’s talking to you directly when she shares her opinions of books; I really appreciated her blend of coherency and shouting over BOOKS YESS I LOVE THEM AHHH. You can see that blend of styles here in one of her discussion posts. Also, I almost cried at her use of “Gods of Olympus” that can be found in this glorious post.

Ally from Cute but Awkward

I found Ally’s blog recently as well and I am so glad I did. Her positivity astounds me: she’s got so much self-belief and belief in others that I get inspired just thinking about it. You can find a tag she created here that celebrates people’s unique qualities and you should give it a go because it might help you to transfer some positivity onto yourself, too! Recently, she hit 100 followers which is fab and despite only knowing her for a short while, I’m really proud of how much time and love she puts into her blog. She’s got a whole support group around her; seeing comments on her blog and the encouragement she gets is so beautiful. Her happiness is contagious; I’m smiling right now which makes me feel, a little, like I can conquer a small section of the world.

Kirithika from Wolfish Delight

This may sound… Slightly creepy but I’ve known Kirithika for a very long time and I’ve never met someone who I wanted to be friends with so badly. Her blogging journey has been inspiring to watch, her honesty helping me to become more honest myself. The way she writes is, in a word, helpful and in a few more, reassuring where it makes you feel like you’re not alone in the world. Posts like this one have actually let me become less self-conscious in my own body. The blogging world needs people like her, who aren’t afraid to talk about things other people might shy away from. She’s one of the people I’m most thankful to for letting me understand that what I feel is okay. Can I just cry for a second? Those like Kirithika give me so much faith in myself.

Ellie from the Diary of Ellie

Ellie is a blogger who i’ve been in awe of pretty much since I found her blog. She’s not only professional but also has a blog which hosts a variety of content, from beauty to photography to spreading positivity (which I love!) One of my favourite recent posts of hers is her talking about her favourite bloggers and the respect she has for the community is lovely to see. What she writes is also very helpful; her post on apps that every blogger needs is a great read. All in all, I aspire to be at Ellie’s level of professionalism and to have her confident writing style. I definitely plan to read more of her posts in the future as she has some helpful insights on beauty products which I’d love to try.

Shay from Planet Shay

I’ve known Shay for ages and throughout that time, whenever I go on a blog binge-read, her dedication and genuine, quality content is always what jumps out at me. Even when going through stressful times in her life, she still manages to post every few days and just HOWW?? I want that level of committment, honestly! She posts so many different types of content; by far the ones that make me most emotional are posts like this, which bring the humanity back to emotions. Without fail, she helps people to remember that what they feel is valid – reading comments on her posts shows me that the community she’s built is one of love and thoughtfulness. She also writes with a mature but friendly style; I never feel patronised when reading her content. Oh! A few days ago, she reached 400 followers so show her some love because she deserves it!

I love all of these bloggers; they each individually illuminate the best parts of the blogging world to me. The communities they create are irreplaceable and all of them inspire me in one way or another, whether I met them 3 years ago or 3 months ago. Needless to say, regardless as to whether I know them personally or not, I have a lot to thank them for.

Anyone who I fangirled about, feel free to do this tag! That goes for any of my readers too; it’s a lovely thing to write and also gives you the excuse of reading through some of your favourite blogs.

I hope you enjoyed reading this! Doing these kinds of tags makes me want to connect to the blogging world even more.

Who are some of your favourite bloggers?

Love from Elm 🙂

The Uniquely Me Tag!

Often, I feel like people – including me – push themselves into the background and simply don’t let themselves be heard. It can be because they feel afraid or simply because they forget that they can speak up about themselves and that they aren’t like other people.

After yet another of my personality crises in which I tried to convince myself that I had nothing in the way of interesting things about me – that I was a sheep, always following the crowd – I had enough. An idea for a tag, both for me and all of you, sprang into my mind with such ferocity that I had to pause for a second to check that I was alright because usually, I don’t have these “I’ve HAD A GOOD IDEA I’m ORIGINAL!” moments. That’s another reason why I created this tag and after much deliberation – involving asking about 5 people for their feedback and getting people to vote on the name – I came up with the Uniquely Me Tag.

To make this all official-looking, I’m going to write out some rules, do the tag, nominations and so forth and have a little more of an explanation at the end. I’m doing this too, to remind myself of my qualities.

The Rules

1. Thank the person that nominated you for this tag and link to their blog (spread the love, basically).
2. Write as many things that are unique to you as possible: these can be things that you do, say, like or have that make you different to other people or let you stand out. It can be what defines you as a person, a little thing about you that is just simply you or something little known that you think makes you up as a person.
3. Nominate up to 10 bloggers or as many as you like; there isn’t a limit.
4. You can take this tag as seriously or non-seriously as you like; you can laugh whilst doing it or feel contemplative: this is about you, after all.
5. After you’ve written this and if you ever feel like there’s nothing to you but what other people have already said and done, look back to your post and remember that it isn’t true.

DISCLAIMER: If a tag like this already exists, I’m sorry for accidentally copying your idea; if you know if there is a tag similar to this then do let me know and link me to the creator so that I can give credit where credit is due.

Unique Things about Me

• When I laugh too hard, I end up screeching or making this high-pitched sound that kind of makes me sound like a mouse
• When I’m around tall people, I try to act as tall as possible (this can include standing on tiptoes, purposefully standing on a higher step or bit of an escalator or just pretending to exude tallness)
• I have an old coin collection that belonged to my grandfather and various other people which I adore taking out and feeling the different shapes of shillings, pennies and everything in between
• I like to find voice recordings from the very early years of sound technology, like the 1890s, because it fascinates me to listen to those little bits of history
• In the room I have at my dad’s house, I have a shelf which has a bunch of ornaments and interesting things on it that I got from my grandma, some beaches and little things that have been given to me; I scattered them on the shelf in no particular order and that’s the only thing in my room that’s like that
• As a joke, I’ve taken to saying “AWWW whinge whinge cry cry!” in the most baby-like, patronising voice ever whenever something mildly unfortunate happens to either my friends and I and it’s got to the point where other people have started saying it (I’m so proud)
• I’m able to comfortably cringe at my younger self and almost own how embarrassing I was
• All of my accents are terrible and I spontaneously break out into little phrases that are meant to sound like they’re one accent but end up sounding completely different
• I make such a joke about me being single and wanting to stay that way that blogging friends of mine have come up with the hashtag #Forelmveralone and I say that all the time now
• I have a tendency to advise people on their lives, so much so people give me the nickname of Grandma Elm sometimes
• I absolutely bloody love the Eurovision Song Contest and I’m unapologetic about it
• When I’m experiencing high emotion, I talk to myself so that it feels real
• I sometimes stand in the dark and think about space, the universe and existence

My Nominations

These are all bloggers I love and want to talk to more because their personalities are amazing:
1. Ash
2. White Bear Online
3. Girl Masked
4. Kirithika
5. Infinity
6. Jasmine
7. Misstery
8. Bloggingsunsets
9. Life in a Blogshell
10. Tash
11. All the Jazz
Anyone else who wants to do it can! Don’t hold yourself back if you haven’t been nominated: you’re still just as unique as ever.

This is a way to celebrate you as a person, as an individual, taking into account all of the qualities that make you different. Being different is what gets me through life, anyhow. You aren’t boring, dull or uninteresting: there are plenty of things that only you will do in a certain way. Embrace it!

The 2016 Blogger Awards – Update!

With two weeks to go until the results are announced for the 2016 Blogger Awards – which I’m hosting, I’ve finally caught up with all the nominations. It took me forever, but now I’ve noted down almost all of the people that are nominated so far.

There’s an emphasis on so far, because there are still two weeks left in which to nominate people. The posts and comments I’ve already seen are truly lovely; I’ve never been so cheered up because of the love and positivity that’s been shared. Reading what you have to say about each other has put a smile on my face; through this, I’ve got to know so many new blogs and that’s one of the reasons I’m so pleased to be hosting this.

To find out what these awards are about if you don’t know already, and to check out the rules, you can read this post. If you already know, then here’s a little reminder (because I know I’d forget if I wasn’t thinking about it)

• The deadline (that’s a slightly scary word but don’t let that put you off) for submitting nominations is on the 30th of December
• Results will be posted on the 31st (my birthday coincidentally)
• You have to either link your post back to my post when nominating, or tag it with the tag 2016bloggerawards
• Every blog is worth an award, not just the ones that are nominated or that win

So, get nominating! You don’t have to nominate people for every single category; just do your best and remember to have fun with it! It’s not a competition; it’s just a way to give more positivity to you and the world.

Spread the word if you like, and I hope you have an amazing holiday whether you celebrate Christmas, something else or nothing at all.

The 2016 Blogger Awards – My Nominations!

After endless hours of procrastination (I had schoolwork shhh!) and a lot of attempted thinking, I’m here to present my nominations for the 2016 blogger awards! You can find the rules and explanations here – don’t forget to check them out!

If I don’t nominate you, it’s not because I dislike you as a person, or your blog. I think that you’re all wonderful people, and you’ve made the last year and a half so special for me. Nominating people was VERY tough, because there are so many blogs which I love.

Blogger of the Year: Em from Adventures of a Lost Teen

Throughout the year, Em has been someone who I’ve admired. She’s incredibly connected in the blogging community, both on her actual blog and on Twitter, and the way she interacts with people is astounding. Always with a kind word to say, she’ll reach out to you. Her Finding Your Feet project was inspirational to me and many others, which makes me think that she deserves this award.

Blog of the Year: Emily from Emily Clare Beauty

The main thing that stounds out to me with Emily’s blog is the amount of effort she puts into it. Her main focus is beauty, and through it, she has made me a lot more confident in my appearance through her posts. Her blog caters to everyone, whether they be experienced at makeup or not, and this flexibility has caused her to be able to expand her blog into what it is today. Her design, coupled with the way she writes posts, makwhs her blog one which I c’thelp but wish I had.

Kindest Blogger: Flawed Silence

With every comment she leaves on anyone’s posts – mine or otherwise – she is always so incredibly lovely. Whenever I’m an emotional wreck, she always helps me to feel like I’m worth something, by saying something that makes me happy. Her blog pretty much exudes kindness, and whenever I look at it I’m reminded of her amazing personality. She goes out of her way to be nice to everyone, which I respect above all else, and she’s become a great friend to me recently.

Most Approachable: Ella from Teenella

Right from the start, I’ve never felt nervous of talking to this girl. She makes a point to TELL you that you can always talk to her, and her honesty in both her posts, on her Twitter and in her personality makes it so that I’ve always viewed her as someone who I can go to if I need to. She’s had her blog for a while, but that doesn’t detract from how approachable she is – in fact, it adds to it, because the dedication she’s shown to her blog and to her readers makes it easy to talk to her.

Best New Blogger: Leo from Hades Vibes

I absolutely adore Leo, and have done ever since they started their blog. Though they don’t follow as many people BECAUSE they’re new, the people that they do follow they’ve reached out to. They have an awesome writing style which makes it feel like they’re speaking to you, they’re relatable, and their music taste will always be a thousand times better than mine. When it comes to blogging, they’ve taken it in their stride and they smashed their way into the blogging world – something I never achieved when I started. Proud of ya!

Most Positive Blogger: Aspen from A.K.A the Author

Aspen is always someone who I’ve thought of as being incredibly positive. Through everything in her life, no matter how big or small, she’s kepther head up and encouraged others to do the same, even when she might want to do the opposite. It’s one thing to remain positive within yourself and yet another to make others feel happy and inspired through your words, and this is what Aspen does; I’ve known her for over a year now and always, when we’ve spoken about our lives, she doesn’t let things get her down for long and can make you laugh and smile, when before you wanted to sob in a corner.

Most Helpful Blogger: Sav from The Savage Savannah

You don’t get many people who will give you their brutally honest advice, say the things that you NEED to hear and tell you when you need to do something, but Sav’s one of them. He is always, always there for you when you need someone to cry at, or to explain your problems to – he never makes me feel stupid for talking to him. As well as that, he gives the best advice and thinks about others, and no matter what issue you have, he’ll do his very best to help you out. That’s one of the defining things that makes up Sav: he’ll help you with pretty much anything.

Best Looking Blog: I’m going to have to skip out on this one, for obvious reasons (I’m blind in case you didn’t know). If you have any suggestions for great looking blogs, then leave a comment with them in!

Most Relatable Blog: The Punk Butterfly

Abi understands pretty much everything I go through, and when I read her posts, I can see why. Whatever she publishes – a life update, creative writing, even an award – I find myself muttering “Yep, SAME, me!” all the time. It’s so nice to know tin my situations, I’m not alone, and that I can relate to someone living thousands of miles away from me. She has a lot of the same thought processes as me, and that is so comforting.

Most Creative Blogger: Anthony from A Very Awkward Blog

Not only has Anthony been an amazing friend to me, but he’s also one of the most creative people I know. It was actually quite hard to choose the person for this category because there are so many talented writers and challenge creators in the blogosphere, but Blogwarts eventually won out as being the most original thing I’ve ever seen in the blogging world. I’ve only been here a grand total of two years collectively, but in that time, I haven’t seen something as brilliant and unique as that: it’s a type of Bloggers’ House Cup, in which you’re set challenges to complete and where you work as a team. Unfortunately I’ve had to resign from it because of my bad mental health at the moment, but I still adore it and think that Anthony is a genius.

Funniest Blogger: L from Consider Yourself Warned

I’ve never met anyone who’s able to make me cry with laughter quite like L can. I’m not even talking about our conversations outside of blogging: I distinctly remember a time where I couldn’t speak for about 2 minutes because of something he wrote in one of his posts. The humour he puts into his blog seems effortless, and he has a special “brand” of funny that no one else has. Look at his Twitter, and you’ll see what I mean; he is hilarious.

The Wildcard: BP from I Like Banoffee Pie for being a loyal friend
BP – or as I refer to her, Z – has been around for approximately forever. She was there when I started my first blog, and she was there when it ended – through it all, she’s been a blogging !piration to me. Even when she left, and came back, she’s still remained a friend. I can safely say that if it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have had the courage to talk to a lot of people when I started Elm; because we’ve known each other for so long, we know both our writing styles and how they’ve changed, and I’m glad there’s someone who knows my blogging identity so completely.

There you have it! I hope you liked these nominations, and if you don’t recognise any of the blogs them have a look at them, as they are all amazing!

You have just under two months to submit your nominations, so there’s no rush. Don’t feel pressured to do this; it’s just a way to connect people together, and to hopefully make you smile.

I’m Doing a Q and A – With A Twist!

Pretty much every blogger, at some point in their bloglife, will do a Q and A. Usually it’s towards the beginning, or when they get a certain number of followers.

NOW, after a year and 5 months (EXACTLY), it’s MY turn. Cue evil laughter and manic rubbing together of the hands.

It was actually a coincidence that I’m doing this on the 17 month anniversary of my blog (I only realised it was that five minutes before starting this post). I’m doing it because I’m a rebel who plays by no rules – AKA because I want to and not because I’m some hardcore rulebreaker. If I wanted to do it for a special occasion, I would have at a follower milestone or my blogiversary.

So, readers of my blog – ask me your questions!

Oh, wait. It’s not THAT simple. As much as I’d love for it to be that simple, I’m not like that. I’ve been blogging for so long that I feel like my first momentous Q and A (HAAAA) should be something special.

I want interesting questions. Questions can be weird, screwed up, or you can ask for advice if you want to. I’m not expecting an immense numberof questions because I’m not that popular, but the best questions – AKA the most interesting – will be answered first. What’s “interesting” is down to my personal judgement, and that might be skewed, so PLEASE don’t be offended if I don’t include your question.

After the answering of the most interesting questions are done, if you want me to, I’ll answer the others (unless I get like 3 questions).

Another twist for this Q and A is that if somebody asks me an interesting question and if they HAVEN’t commented much or at all on my blog before, I will:
1. Check you out (your BLOG)
2. Follow you (of course!)
3. Promote you on my blog. That can include you doing a guest post, or me writing a post about your blog. Now, that DOESN’t sound creepy.

It’s not a competition. Rather, it’s a way to discover new blogs. If you’re new to blogging, the same thing applies!

People who ask me very interesting questions will also get mentioned on here in the same way; it’s not just limited to one. I want to spread as much love and positivity as possible, and let all of you discover new blogs whilst you’re at it.

Let’s hope this doesn’t fail! Even if I don’t get that many questions, I’ll still be over the moon; you mean the world to me and you’re the best people I could hope to know. Any question you ask me will make me think and IS VALID.

Send in your questions and spread the word! (I sound like a TV Presenter). There’s no set deadline, but once I’ve collected enough questions, I’ll put it on this post.

Oh, and I know that 17 months isn’t exactly a huge milestone, but thankks for sticking with me!

From Elm 🙂

Just a reminder that classes start tomorrow for the Blogger’s House Cup! Don’t forget to sign up to the forums if you haven’t already. I’m Hufflepost Prefect and Amy’s the Head of House, so you can ask us or Anthony any questions you have 🙂

The Five Senses Tag!

Whenever I do an award, my world basically falls down in shock (or at least I do).

My amazing friend Dani created this awesome tag which is really original! Because I love it, I decided to do it. Thank you so much for nominating me, Dani; you’re amazing!

The Rules:

-Thank the person who nominated you
-For each of the five senses (or as many as you do) describe five of your favourite things having to do with that sense. AKA your five favourite smells, sounds etc.
-Nominate five other people to do this tag

(I know, it might seem weird to do this, because I have very little sight)
-The colour blue, uninterrupted by any other colour so that I can see it
-An individual streetlight, or a row of them
-Snow, especially when it’s light outside and the pure white of it is visible
-Any shape, like a perfect circle or square or even a pentagon (though it takes me a long time to work out if it is a pentagon so it has to be very large)
-Something shiny, either silver or gold, that sparkles

-A violin, either on its own or played accompanied by a piano
-The sound of rain on the roof or falling on the ground
-Wind in the trees, where it makes the leaves rustle
-The sound of a parade or carnival, with people cheering, drums playing and just the sound of a party
-Genuine, unforced laughter, the type where it just bursts out of you

-Freshly mown grass, especially mixed with rain
-Baking bread, either whilst in the oven or just after it comes out
-The smell of a forest, with leaves crushed underfoot and the smell of sap and trees in the air

-Chocolate cake, either warm or not
-A crisp apple, especially when it’s been picked from a garden or orchard
-Cool water on a boiling day
-Cookies that have just come out from the oven (obviously when they,re not scalding hot)
-The taste of mint

Things to feel

-The shape of a leaf – any leaf – and how precise it is
-Water running over my hands, from a waterfall or the rain
-The feeling of holding someone’s hand (romantically or platonically) and the security it brings
-Soft velvet or wool
-An intricately carved design, piece of jewellery or anything that’s engraved so that I can feel it

People I’d like to tag:

Jodie and Erin

If you haven’t checked these people out, you really should because they’re amazing! I hope you enjoy doing this tag, and once again: thanks to Dani for creating it, you utter genius.

The Respect Award!

Hey guys!

You can now faint in shock, because I’m actually DOING an award. What is this?!!! I must have been taken over by some alien.

I am so so happy, because Aditi and Azura both nominated me for the Respect Award, which made me grin insanely. Like you have no idea! THANK YOU!!!

There are just two rules to this award:
1. Paste the award picture in your post.
2. Answer the questions.

If you’re Elm, you’ll only abide by one because I’m SO bad with technology that I don’t even know HOW to paste that picture into my post, because I can’t FIND the picture (yay for phones being great).

The Questions:

What is respect and what does it mean to you?
Respect is when you think a person is fantastic, when every action they do inspires you, makes you feel like you’re worth something. It’s when they can argue with you, but you still admire them, because their arguments are sound and so valid that it knocks you down with the genius of it. It’s when no matter if you hate them, you will still always have a deep-rooted feeling of almost awe for them. It means being kind to them, having kindness returned, and always realising that even if you don’t agree with them, they won’t shoot you down for it. You’ll still be a friend, or an acquaintance. It’s a quiet feeling, solid and only changing with the most violent shift of personality, because you understand them and hold a ton of admiration for them. Respect is earned, not EXPECTED; if somebody is not kind and generous to you, how can they expect that FULLY in return?

Who do you respect the most?
Ooh, this is a tricky one. I’d say my father, because he always has listened to my opinions. He brought me up when it came to politics, and morals, and even when he and I are having an argument, he still makes me look at things from every angle, rather than just one. He’s the type of person who would NEVER expect me to respect him, because he knows that he’d need to earn it through being kind to people, which he is and that makes me respect him even more. Luckily, he isn’t the type of parent who would impose authority on me “BECAUSE I SAY SO!” which is so so great.

Which bloggers have earned your respect?
Too many to count. Honestly I love all you guys because you make me so happy and are always here to help, no matter what. But specific ones, who I’ll use as my nominees, are:

L. This goes without saying, but I have so much respect for this guy. He makes me laugh, is SO fabulous and can write thoughtful, and then hilarious posts. He’s always kind, and here for you whenever you need him, and he’s also organising a project that brings loads of people together and links it to blogging which is my favourite thing. He’s a part of the blogging community, and always comments the sweetest things. You are trés fantastique!

The Savage One AKA The Lonely Lion. This guy’s posts, and his attitude, just makes you respect him. You know he’d always listen to the other side of an argument, and I may not have known him long, but I think he’s fantastic and one of my favourite bloggers. His posts are thoughtful and it makes me smile, because he manages to write down my thoughts on certain topics, because he shares them.

Selfie is someone I’ve always respected. Back in November, she contacted me for the first time to ask if I was okay, and that simple gesture nearly made me cry because it was just so KIND. Ever since then, she’s been such a good friend – funny, thoughtful and she understands me on a level that’s scary. I can always come to her if I feel terrible and THAT’s why I respect her so much.

Luna has been right there from the start. First of all, through her posts, I got the image of a kind and caring person, who was alternately funny and then hit you in the face with her real posts so that you’d stand up and listen. Over the last year, the comments she’s left on my posts have been some of the most beautiful, and most supportive, I’ve ever read. She says she’s bad at advice, but to me, she couldn’t be a better friend.

Crystal is someone who I found relatively recently, and I am SO glad I did. She makes me laugh and writes the best posts and comments, and even though she hasn’t known me that long, she STILL is here for me which is so great. As with so many other bloggers, she has such a kind heart and is never afraid to just message me whenever and have a conversation.

You are all so wonderful, and I don’t know what I’d do without this blog as I ALWAYS say. I’ve missed doing awards like this, because it’s fun and makes me think. Hopefully, it’ll make you guys happy too.

From now on, I’m going to start doing awards. A LOT. If anyone nominates me for anything, please do let me know – by leaving a comment on one of my posts or pages, or by making a pingback to one of my posts. I really want to get back into the swing of things (WOAH I’ve become motivated!)

Have a brilliant day, you fabulous souls 😀

From Elm 🙂

The Little Engine Tag

RIGHT, this tag is really overdue and I feel horribly guilty for not doing it sooner!

This is a brilliant tag, made by the one and only The Little Engine That Couldn’t who’s post can be found above.

The Rules:
1. Each answer you give to a question has to be more than two sentences long. Or at the very least, you have to make those two sentences meaningful.

2. There will be two bonus questions at the end, that the blogger gets to change to whatever they want to ask when they nominate someone else. The first six questions, however, are set in stone.

3. At the end you must nominate three to five other bloggers. Okay, so you don’t have to, but that would be nice if you could. (I want my blog name to spread on for all of eternity.)

4. You know how sometimes in quiet classrooms, they’ll be that one guy clicking his pen fifty times a second, and it’s annoying as hell to everyone else? Yeah, don’t be that guy. This doesn’t apply to this tag so much, but more to life in general.

YES okay this is cool ahh

The Questions:

1. What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?
I DAMN well hate when people overuse ellipses. One is just fine – you know, you say, “I’m not feeling too good…” But if you do it on every single SENTENCE, I don’t know WHY but it just annoys me. I’M SORRY!

2. What is your favourite song at the moment?
There’s this song called I Found by Amber Run, and I absolutely love it. I found it by accident as well – all of the other songs on the suggested list on youtube that that song was on I didn’t especially like, but this one? I ADORE it, because of the harmonies, piano, lyrics and everything. Ahhh I could listen to it all day. I know it sounds quite miserable, but it’s so beautiful.

3. Who is your favourite blogger?
NO don’t make me pick. I LITERALLY can’t – but all of the bloggers I’ll nominate are my favourites. That’s the worst answer to a question I’ve ever written, in my life. ARGH!

4. What’s the nicest thing you’ve seen someone do recently?
I haven’t really been paying attention, but I think it would have to be when this girl went home a few days ago – not sure why but it was pretty serious – and people were so worried about her. It made me feel like our form was really caring, despite the people in it who scare me a little. But still, they just came together and asked if she was okay. Luckily, she was back at school today.

5. What’s something you regret doing?
I honestly don’t have regrets, as weird as that sounds, because I think that you learn from everything you do. However, I DO regret being so… Oblivious, when I was younger, and even two years ago. I look back on some of the things I did, and how I acted, and I feel so ashamed and irritated with myself because I was so incredibly immature. I really had no idea what kinds of things I was capable of, which is a shame really. Oh well.

6. If you could take only three items with you to a desert island, what would they be, and why?
Oh MAN, this one’s difficult. I’d probably take an instruction book on how to survive because I’m cool like that, and it’d be useful. But seriously, I’d take a sleeping bag so I wouldn’t have to sleep on just the ground, and also… A torch, not that it’d be much use. Didn’t think THAT one through… How WOULD a blind kid such as moi survive on a desert island anyway?

The bonus questions (which you can change in your own post)
7. What’s your least favourite animal, and why don’t you especially like it?
I’d say it’d have to be wasps – I KNOW they’re insects! Just go with it (WOW I’m such a shit question-answerer). It’s mainly because they scare me so much, they buzz, and also they sting MULTIPLE times. I got stung by one on a roller coaster when I was ten, so THAT was fun.

8. What’s one of your happiest memories, which you remember when things aren’t so good?
Probably when I met Rapunzel (my girlfriend, though she wasn’t at the time) for the first time. We hugged for so long, and we were shaking insanely. I’ll remember that one for a LONG time because I’ve NEVER felt so happy that something had gone right, because I didn’t think I would get to meet her and it was just so surreal.

The Anonymous Blogger Award!

YAAAAHHHHHH! (Sorry, I’m just excited).

I got nominated for this one by Anonymousblog101 and Anonymous Adolescent and I LOVE IT, because it’s celebrating the Anons in the Blogosphere. And as you know, I’m anonymous, though I’m HORRIFIC at staying that way. Thank you to you both for nominating me – you’re amazing!

The Rules:
1. Answer all the questions
2. Nominate 5 other anonymous bloggers
3. Mention the person who nominated you in your post.
4. Tell them you nominated them.

The Questions:

Why did you become anonymous?
I needed a place to get my thoughts out, about whatever I wanted. When I started the blog, I felt crappy, and it was – and still IS – a way to express myself. I think if I weren’t anonymous, I wouldn’t have made so many internet friends, because there’d just be this pressure to please people reading in real life: I needed to have a place where I could be myself, totally.

Who are your top three anonymous bloggers?
1. Selfie
2. Luna
3. L
And basically everyone else, because you’re all absolutely fantastic. I’m serious – you make my day.

If you could show your identity, would you?
No, I don’t think so. I like having a space where I can’t be judged by appearance, or my name, or anything like that. And anyway – this IS my identity, in a way.

Have you ever thought about revealing who you are?
At the beginning, yes, I won’t lie. When I started revealing things about my personal life is when I absolutely refused to think about revealing my real name, or face. It does mean I can’t share my youtube things with you, but that’s a not very big price to pay.

Has anyone asked (your readers) who you are?
Never, and I’m honestly not surprised. I have so much respect for you all; I think the community as a whole is really accepting and just lovely. I don’t think anyone would straight out ask me to tell them my real name.

AND I nominate:
Em Somerset

Anyone else who wants to do it, feel free! Also, the blogs who I nominated are lovely people and you should go and check them out 😛

Thanks for yesterday, by the way. I don’t understand how you’re such great people.
